Lydia Prettyman

Lydia Prettyman

Indie
Nottingham, UK.

A singer songwriter, Lydia grew up in a town called Bedford, not too far from London. Her style contains the instrumentation of indie music, with hints of soul in her vocals. Her interesting melodies also contain some jazz influences. She grew up in a very musical household and started writing from a young age, immersing herself in creative opportunities throughout her teenage years. She grew up singing, playing piano, and playing guitar with her sisters and with friends during school. She had a strong interest in film composition and then drifted primarily into songwriting when she was 18. Currently, Lydia has spent the last four years in Nottingham studying, where she performed at many open mic events. She is still starting out in regard to releasing music, but so far has released three demos on Soundcloud and is currently writing and recording as much as possible with the plan to release her first single on Spotify in the next couple of months. Lydia’s music ties in elements of 70s music from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, and Paul Simon. More recent influences include Amy Winehouse, Arlo Parks, Eloise, and Coldplay.
